E-discovery Techniques and Mobile Phone Forensics help Catch Tough Criminals

A lot of people compare E-discovery techniques with mobile phone forensics UK however both are not same. The scope of E-discovery techniques is quite narrow in comparison to digital forensics. Electronic discovery is in simple terms the process of collecting electronic data. The data which is collected is active as well as readily available. It is available on any form of electronic storage equipment such as computer, server, iPad, iPhone, etc. The basis of the e-discovery industry is EDRM which is Electronic Discovery Reference Model. The scope of the E-discovery collections is actually limited when you compare to digital forensics.  Digital forensics is in essence total autopsy of electronic storage device so as to know the real truth.

Digital forensics techniques are accepted in court of law to hold a person guilty in a particular case. In case there is a legal case which encompasses potential fraud, deleted data or anything which will not appear in form of "live data", there is need of a forensics expert to handle that case. Common cases which generally need assistance of digital forensics include: regulatory matters, criminal matters, insurance matters and also employee matters such as IP infraction, theft, office policies, termination, general controversial circumstances, etc.
